Make sure your intention is clear
If you hesitate and wonder if it could be taken the wrong way, don’t say it.
Clear the air if you are misunderstood – or if you misunderstood someone else.

4. Connecting with strangers
You don’t have to accept every request.
Don’t limit yourself by automatically not connecting with people.
Consider the platform and how you use it.

Why are you tagging the person (or yourself)?

6. A few words about privacy
Nothing is private, really.
Don’t say anything you wouldn’t want publicly attached to your name.
Don’t use private messaging to spam others.
Asking to speak to someone in private before speaking in public can be off-putting.
