1. Do you love?
Matthew 5:43-48
43“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Do I really care about all of the people around me?
Do I have the faith to be like Him?

3. Do you love? Matthew 5:43-48 We all want the power
We all want to see the miraculous
But do we want to be like Him?

4. Do you love? Matthew 5:43-48 By reconciling to our brother or sister
By keeping our anger under control
By not degrading another person by lusting after them
By keeping our word

5. Do you love? Matthew 5:43-48 By being generous By loving our enemies
These are the characteristics of His followers

6. Do you love? Matthew 5:43-48 Agape your enemies
Praying for good things to happen to them
Matthew 7:12, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”

7. Do you love?
Matthew 5:43-48
Verse 45, “…that you may be children of your Father in heaven”
God loves sinners
He loves the people who don’t love Him.

8. Do you love?
Matthew 5:43-48
Verse 48, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
