7 Today’s Objectives LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE
After reviewing the vocabulary terms from weeks 1-3, candidates will be able to plan and deliver an oral and visual presentation on their assigned vocabulary terms using appropriate understanding of register. CONTENT OBJECTIVE After participating in 6 different modeled vocabulary activities, TCs will be able to design a vocabulary activity with content standards, ELD standards, language objective, content objective, materials and differentiation if necessary for 3 specific students. TICKET OUT THE DOOR – VOCABULARY ACTIVITY with a. Content & ELD Standard b. Language Development & Content Objective Condition, Action Verb and Criteria c. UDL Materials d. Differentiation Strategies for 3 Students If Necessary

LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE After reviewing the vocabulary terms from weeks 1-3, candidates STUDENTS will be able to plan and deliver an oral and visual presentation on their assigned vocabulary terms using appropriate understanding of register. 9 Vocab Activity #1 edTPA Vocabulary Tea Party
Choose a vocabulary word & definition. Read the word & definition silently. Make eye contact with a person with a different vocabulary word. Read your word and definition aloud. Listen to partner read word/definition aloud. Discuss how words are related. Move to another partner until you have learned all 10 words and definitions. Annette +30 minutes = 1 hour Week 3 Vocab

Walk around the room and review the definition for each vocabulary term. Take your original vocabulary review sheet with you to add ideas and notes. +15 minutes = 45 minutes + 10 minutes = 1 hour 20 minutes Week 3 Vocab

Stay at your same table Each person at a table will create a Billboard for their vocabulary term You will present vocabulary using billboard, prepare a statement to explain. Teri +11 minutes = 1 hour 55 minutes

19 Vocabulary Activity #6 Inside/Outside Circle Roles
Number your Billboards A-D & assign reporters for each billboard – If there are more than 4 people per group you may double up. The Process Inside Circle Members – Make a circle facing outward with shoulders touching. Outside Circle Members - Make a circle facing the inside circle members. There should be 9 inside billboard teams facing 9 outside billboard teams. Inside circle stays put and goes first. Outside circle rotates clockwise when light flickers/clap.
