11. Avaya’s Flare Experience is a breakthrough collaboration user experience delivered on a swipe and flick touch screen based user interface. It is an aggregator, which provides an integration solution to manage multiple interactions over various communications modes into a single simple effective communication interface. Users can now communicate in any media (Voice, Video, IM, , Social media) through any channel, from one unified/integrated user interface. I won’t actually go through all the features now as you will see a demonstration in the next part of this session.
So now lets talk about the Flare experience on the Avaya desktop video device
The device itself is a 30cm 1366x768 Android-based touch-screen device, with touch and swipe control ,HD camera, HD video,HD quality audio: Harmon Kardon speakers with base sub-woofer
It comes with a Optional base station and handset
It is a Fit-for-purpose video collaboration device with Fully integrated video
It has Enterprise mobility supporting SIP, WiFi, VPN, 3+ hr battery

HDMI for large monitors and supports Bluetooth accessories
Once you get a change to have a flare experience on the device, you will see it is a really exciting product with will differentiate Avaya in the Market.
The first reaction of many people is to compare the device to an IPAD, please don’t..
The Ipad is a Consumer device targeted at leisure activities, it cannot be hardened or locked down, it has no camera and no enterprise UC focus.
You may be aware that Cisco recently release a tablet video device called cius. That is a comparison we should be making and we win on all counts.
The cius has a much smaller 7 inch screen, no built in HD display, it offers no change to the collaboration experience, no social media integration and no contextual history, basically it is
Just a video phone.
