6 Wide Color Gamut (WCG) Display (UHZ65)
CTA defined WCG Display A TV, monitor or projector may be referred to as a Wide Color Gamut (WCG) Display if it meets the following minimum attributes: Receives and decodes ITU-R Recommendation BT.2020 signal input, and remaps as appropriate for the display. Rendering exceeds 100% of Recommendation Rec.709 colors. UHZ65 Rec.709 DCI-P3 BT.2020 Area ratio 114% 84% 60% Coverage ratio 100% 82% UHZ65 has wider color gamut than UHD65 by 10%

7 Impressive HDR effect Thanks to laser technology and the constant brightness of the UHZ65, images are more vivid and detailed in particularly bright or dark areas on screen. The UHZ65 has excellent performance under these conditions. UHD65 / HDR mode; DB on UHZ65 / HDR mode; DB 1 on

10 HDR OSD Behavior Input HDR signal
When an HDR signal (with HDR metadata) is detected, the UHZ65 will automatically switch to “HDR” Display mode and all other display modes will be grayed out and can’t be selected. The user can select “Bright/Standard/Film/Details” in HDR Picture Mode Gray Out Display Mode Cinema HDR HDR SIM. 14 PC 3D ONLY – BLURAY 3D NOT SUPPORTED
3D Supported UHZ65 is a 3D ready projector with DLP-Link 3D solution. UHZ65 supports frame sequential (page-flip) 3D via HDMI1/HDMI2/VGA ports. To enable 3D mode, the input frame rate should be set to 60Hz only, lower or higher frame rates are not supported. To reach the best performance, resolution 1920x1080 is recommended, please note that 4K (3840x2160) resolution is not supported in 3D mode. PC 3D ONLY – BLURAY 3D NOT SUPPORTED

17 UHZ65 – 4K UHD Display Full 8.3M pixels display
Optoma’s UHZ65 deliver accurate, razor sharp, high quality images by leveraging the DLP 4K UHD chip and XPR technology. Capitalizing on the fast switching speed of the DLP chip and advanced image processing, over 8 million pixels are delivered to the screen. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) definition of 4K Ultra HD resolution states the display resolution must have at least 8 million active pixels For the 4K UHD content to be displayed as accurately as possible, all 8.3M pixels need to be displayed DLP 4K UHD solutions display 8.3M pixels Full 8.3M pixels display Source :

18 How Key Research Institutes categorize Optoma 4K products?

19 4K UHD vs. Full HD & 4K Enhancement

20 How ProjectorCentral write about DLP 4K?
Below quoted from Mr. Powell’s article “…. The 4K DLP chip starts with double the resolution of the 3LCD devices. It has a total of 2716x1528 mirrors. Through some proprietary video processing it is able to deliver two discrete pixels for each mirror. When using this chip in the pixel-shifting process, it delivers double the number of pixels in each refresh compared to the 3LCD projectors. The total number of addressable pixels in this process is (2716x1528) x 2 = 8.3 million, or the same as a native 4K signal. The pixels have been reformulated through video processing to map the native 4K signal information onto this pixel shifted delivery mechanism. ……”

21 Alignment free Alignment Free Misalignment DLP 1-chip systems are inherently mechanically perfectly aligned For 3 panel systems, any panel misalignment can cause color or image artifacts and lost resolution 4K pixels are typically smaller than 1080p pixels, making alignment in 3 panel systems even more challenging

25 Stereo Speakers The UHZ65 projector is equipped with high quality speakers which deliver remarkable clarity unheard on projectors before. Unlike other traditional projectors, the UHZ65 speakers have its own enclosure that allows the full range transducer together with a large passive radiator to produce undistorted soundtracks whether you are watching movies or playing games. To further improve the clarity, prevent vibrations or any unwanted frequencies that could impact image quality, the speaker enclosure is separated from the projector chassis with silicon.

26 PureMotion PureMotion is a form of video processing with an attempt to make video filmed in 24fps to be more smooth and to compensate for motion blur. The processing will generate transitional frames in between the existing ones to reduce motion judder. You will enjoy smooth fast-moving scenes with PureMotion.
