During Beta Later AutoCAD 2012 | Store Experiment and Learn!
Goal: Energize and Delight the Developer Community During Beta Experiment and Learn! No payment processing yet Autodesk “repackages” Products Later Autodesk commission? More languages Inventor, Revit… The Store is Software as a Service Payment processing is likely to be through PayPal – which means credit card from over 40 countries. How many of you have used PayPal? Initially Autodesk will be taking no part in the financial transaction – you get 100% of the Sales. Longer term we expect to receive up to a 30% commission – same as the apple App Store – but in these early days, while you are bearing the cost of learning of the Store works for your target customers and your Products, you will keep all the Sales. When will Autodesk turn on payment processing? Likely in February – and definitely before we release in late March. Most of you will be able to use the Store to reach half the Autodesk customers in the world that use the English version.
