2 1. Michigan, hard hit by a recession, has decided to issue coins made from old cars in order to stimulate the economy.

All federal laws, treaties agreed to by the national government with other nations, and the Constitution are supreme over state laws.

States cannot join together unless the state legislatures and the US Congress agree

“A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.” A criminal fleeing from one state to another after committing a crime, if apprehended, must be returned to the state from which he/she fled, at the request of the legal authorities in that state (a process called extradition).
