Project is worth 100 pts. Individual Project. Work will be taken up daily. Project will be graded on completion of work, creativity, neatness, color coordinated, and timely completion. Project will take 4 days. Each days work is worth 25 points.

2 Day 1….. Industrialization
One side is definitions or importance other side is effects chart and question. Define or give the importance of the following terms: Industrial Revolution Mass Production Assembly Line Interchangeable parts Henry Ford Alexander G. Bell Thomas Edison Guglielmo Marconi Urbanization Middle Class Copy Effects of Industrialization chart on page 727. Answer ?- Was Industrialization a positive or negative event in history? Explain why. (5 sentences minimum)

3 DAY 2………Industrialization. Create Advertisement for the Cotton Gin
Must have: -Who created, where created(state), when created -States that used the cotton gin(10) -Explanation of what machine does (3 sentences) -How much cotton was produced in 1793 and 1820? -Picture of cotton gin (colored) -Copy chart of production -Slogan(Nike-just do it, McDonalds- I’m loving it) -Answer Question: How did the Cotton Gin impact slavery? (5 sentences)

4 DAY 3…… IMPERIALISM 1. What is Imperialism and when did it occur? (770,773) 2. Explain why Europeans colonized Africa. ( ) 3. Define the following terms- Social Darwinism, racism, Berlin Conference, paternalism, assimilation, Boers 4. What is the “White Man’s Burden” / European Superiority? (4 sentences, pg. 774) 5. Complete Africa, India, Southeast Asia Maps

5 Day 4 Nationalism/Revolution in the Arts
What is Nationalism?
