Started in the summer of 1999
The Platte River Basin Plan will be completed early in 2006

The Framework Water Plan will consolidate the data developed for the seven individual plans into a single statewide water plan.

It will provide a statewide perspective for water resource planners
It will set the course for the next round of river basin plans
It will include a statewide presentation tool that is internet based

7. The Framework What will not change.
It will not replace the individual basin plans
It will not be a competition between basins
There will not be voting
All minority opinions will be considered

8. Challenges of the Framework
GIS
Summarizing the data developed for the plans
Determining the best way to address differences in the data

9. End Products of the Framework
Recommendations for inclusion of ground water in the next round of basin plan
Recommendations on how to address water rights in the next round
Outline any data that needs to be added or corrected

10. What is the timeline? Notice to Proceed has been issued
The 50% progress meeting has been scheduled for July 11th in Casper
Consultants will attend the summer and winter 2006 BAG meetings to discuss progress with the full BAG
Final Report will be due June 2007
