Saving Lives’ Jamilah Fields | Dr. Shelly Manis | University Of Michigan Introduction Discussion Results Right now, I am leaning more towards going into the OB/GYN specialty. Both of these careers in the beginning where very appealing and almost have the same characteristics. Both revolved in the hospital/ or a clinical setting. Both of these medical specialties focused on a certain group of patients, and also both are very hands on. However, OB/GYN will offer me more opportunity to determine the work schedule that fits my lifestyle. Pediatrics could be figuring out what affects a patient that may have never been seen in the medical world and would require are wider breathe of knowledge and thinking Though I got off to a bumpy start the overall research process has been seamless. At first I couldn’t seem to nail a question down to the table and this is where Dr. Shelly helped me out big time. I decided to decide what specialty in the medical fields would fit me as a person. I looked up books on Mlibrary. I figured out that most women are misrepresented in the health field and they have to work harder. Hours for a OB/GYN is sporadic while a Pediatrician is more likely to be in the office everyday on a time clock From and interview perspective the doctors felt like you have to have good communications, understanding, and a Methods Mirlyn Catalog Mlibrary : Books, Articles, Scholarly Essays Library Assistants Dr.ShellyManis/ Professor Assistant Josh Friend: Benjamin, possible connections through his dad with some heath professionals The library has been a tremendous help with this search. I was able to access info through databases which furthered the amount of information that was available. Interviews are hard to find.
