Late/make-up work policy The expectation is that you submit all assignments on time. I accept late assignments for up to one week after the due date. 10% will be deducted from the grade daily. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to follow proper procedures to ensure that you receive your work. You will have one week to make up any missing assignments. All assignments are posted on Moodle in the calendar section. The computer lab will be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:10 am to the first bell. technology We will be utilizing the Internet to research, learn, review material, and submit assignments. You must hold yourselves to high expectations when you use these resources. Your time must be spent well. Unless I specifically say that you may have your cell phones out, you must keep them away at all times. If I see your cell phone in class, I will ask you to put it in the cell phone pocket in the back of the room for the remainder of the class period. If you refuse I will have to write a referral and turn it into the front office. ……………………………………………………………………………...…………….. Academic dishonesty All work that you submit must be your own work. Cheating is stealing another persons work. You may not do any of the following: Turn in or copy someone else’s work. Copy someone’s work and change a few of the words. Copying words from a source without citing it and giving credit to the source. Attempt to use any notes on a closed-note assignment. Look at someone else’s work during an quiz, test, or otherwise individual assessment. If you are doing any of the above or anything else that constitutes cheating, you will receive a zero on that assignment, and you will be referred for discipline. The student w ho cheats and the student who allowed the assignment to be copied will BOTH receive a ZERO on the assignment. Protect your work! Class procedures Leaving the Classroom: You are expected to be in class when direct instruction is taking place. Students must take the pass and sign out on Moodle when they leave. Dismissal: Do not log off before instructed! Remain seated until the bell rings. Getting Help: Raise the card on your monitor if you need assistance. Bathroom Policy: Do not interrupt valuable instruction to ask to go to the bathroom. Please wait for an appropriate time. You have FIVE bathroom passes per nine weeks. You may not go the first or last ten minutes of class. Classroom Equipment: It is your responsibility to take care of the equipment in this class.
