Required materials
You need a graphing calculator
If you already have one, great!
If you need to buy one, get a TI-83 or TI-84
They are by far the most common/popular in the United States
They are also the only ones that I know how to use
Pencil and/or pen

Textbook

12. Homework You will have homework for almost every class period
Graded for completion, not accuracy
You should come into class and get your homework out, ready to grade
I should not need to remind you to get your HW out
Sometimes you will grade it, sometimes you will turn it in directly to me
Always for completion

I will not be checking any binders/notebooks/etc. for this class
But you probably still want to keep one so that you have old homework/quizzes/tests to study

14. The Textbook Most of our HW assignments are out of the textbook
Although our HW assignments do not list reading the textbook as a part of the HW, it is a good resource to help you understand
Particularly if you are struggling with a concept

15. Grading Homework: 10% of your final grade
Midterm Exam: 15% of your final grade
Final Exam: 20% of your final grade
Chapter tests: 40% of your final grade
Project: 15% of your final grade
