16. Good practices in Tamil Nadu
The Government have revised the minimum rates of wages vide G.O.(2D)No.25, Labour and Employment Department, dated: for plantation workers.
The Government of Tamil Nadu have prescribed the standards for the houses to be provided to the workers as per G.O.(Ms)No.79, Labour & Employment Department, dated
In Tamil Nadu so far 41,348 houses have been constructed by the employers for the plantation workers.
The Assistant Surgeons (Plantations) are responsible for the effective functioning of hospitals and dispensaries in plantations of Tamil Nadu (in addition to the Inspector of Plantations).

17. Contd:-
The Government of Tamil Nadu have issued orders vide G.O.Ms.No.37, Labour and Employment Department, dated , wherein it has been notified that every employer of plantation shall supply free of cost, to every worker/staff employed in the plantations, the materials specified therein, for their protection from rain or cold.
Constant joint inspections and regular inspections.
Awareness stickers placed in plantation office.
