L/O: To explore the contention that symbols are more effective than words.
In groups, you must create either a role-play or a montage presentation under the title: “Symbols are more effective than words.” Your work should include several different reasons why symbols are more effective. Ideas: link to emotions (eg colours), no language barriers, easier to express the religious and spiritual than explain it, more memorable, develop a personal relationship through own interpretations, use of all our senses (eg smell, touch, sight etc), power of non-religious symbols in the world. You could act out different scenes of a symbol(s) in action eg. use of crucifix, water, etc.
