2. Cover Page Color the title and items on the front.
Cut out the main rectangular section.
Write your name and class period on
the notebook area.
Glue to the front of your journal.

3. Table of Contents Cut out the two rectangle sections
Glue the first page (page 1 – page 20)
on the first lined page of your journal
as shown in the picture.
Then, glue the next page (page 21 –page 40) on the opposite side of the page so it is back to back.
DO NOT write anything on this yet!

4. Storing of Journal
Take a baggie that has been hole punched through the duct tape.
Place journal inside baggie and close.
Place baggie in three ring binder.
Bring journal and binder to class each day.

5. Purpose of Interactive Journals
The journal will help you organize and synthesize your thoughts related to the learning done in class.
The journal will track your growth in academic learning.
The journal will allow you to apply what you learn about the literary elements to the stories you read.
The journal will allow you to display your creativity and thoughts about your learning.
The journal can be used as a study tool.

6. Bring to class daily!
