For 21 communities, grid connection is the preferred option and there is an economic business case supporting this approach
For 4 communities we need to enable alternative approaches led by community needs and preferences

Wataynikaneyap Power’s grid connection project is being led by a consortium of First Nations
Others working on renewable projects including solar-powered microgrid and biofuel
Government role is to create the policy and regulatory framework to enable these projects to move forward.
