Cross-country skiing Cross-country skiing is a form of skiing where skiers rely on their own locomotion to move across snow-covered terrain, rather than using ski lifts or other forms of assistance. Cross-country skiing is widely practised as a sport and recreational activity, however some still use it as a means of transportation.

Since snowboarding's inception as an established winter sport, it has developed various styles, each with its own specialized equipment and technique. The most common styles today are: freeride, freestyle, and freecarve/race. These styles are used for both recreational and professional snowboarding.

Snowboarding Snowboarding is a recreational activity and olympic sport that involves descending a slope that is covered with snow while standing on a snowboard attached to a rider's feet.

Freestyle snowboarding
It is any riding that includes performing tricks. The rider utilizes natural and man-made features such as rails, jumps, boxes, and innumerable others to perform tricks.

Slopestyle Slopestyle is a winter sport in which athletes ski or snowboard down a course including a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps and other terrain park features. Points are scored for amplitude, originality and quality of tricks.

Half-pipe A half-pipe is a structure used in gravity extreme sports. The structure is wood, concrete, metal, earth, or snow. It resembles a cross section of a swimming pool, essentially two concave ramps. Half-pipe applications include leisure recreation, skills development, competitive training, amateur and professional competition. A skilled athlete can perform in a half-pipe for an extended period of time by pumping to attain extreme speeds with relatively little effort.

Jibbing "Jibbing" is technical riding on non-standard surfaces, which usually includes performing tricks. A jib includes metal rails, boxes, benches, concrete ledges, walls, vehicles, rocks and logs.

Slalom skiing It is an alpine skiing and alpine snowboarding discipline, involving skiing between poles or gates.

Ski jumping The ski jump is divided into four parts: in-run, take-off (jump), flight and landing. In each part the athlete is required to pay attention to and practice a particular technique in order to maximize the outcome of ultimate length and style marks.
