Students complete an interest survey (1-2 minutes).
Students complete a lexile assessment before using the program (5-10 average but up to 25 mins based on students’ levels).
After 4 incorrect responses, the lexile assessment ends automatically.
Assessment has to be done on the website live and cannot be done through the myON app
Book suggestions based on interest, lexile, and grade level

Lexile levels range from beginning reader – 1400L
10% bilingual/Spanish titles

5. Supports Collaboration
A partnership can be established with the county library for students who still like to check out books
Partnership needs to be set with the parents by sending out parent links, parent letters, and/or flyers

Data is tracked in the system and can be accessed by the teacher, student, or parent.

10. Students’ Initial Log in
Complete the interest survey (1-2 minutes)
Complete the lexile assessment (5-25 minutes) (independent) (in school)
This should be done in school before summer break

11. Students’ Initial Log in
Once students complete the interest survey and lexile assessment a dashboard will be created for them. The dashboard includes their current lexile, a search option, recommended titles, etc. A sample is listed below.

12. myON Assessments
Leveled benchmark every 14 days if student finishes at least 5 books or reads for 3 hours (students have to press END to finish a book)
a. Only on the live website
b. cannot be taken via the myON app
Some books also have quizzes at the end of reading
