There + is Positive: There + is + a/an + singular countable noun+ comp. Example: There is a cat in the room. There is an apple in the bowl. NEGATIVE: There + is + not + a/an + SCN+ comp. isn’t There isn’t a cat in the room. There isn’t an apple in the bowl.

Using Some and any We use "some" in positive sentences. Example:
1 – I have some friends in London. 2 – There are some pens in my bag. We use "any" in negative sentences or questions. Examples: 1 – He doesn't have any friends in Jeddah. 2 – there aren’t any cups. 3 - Do you have any cheese? 4 – Are there any books?

Demonstratives ( This – That – These – Those )
Demonstratives are words that show which person or thing is being referred to in the sentence:- Examples:- 1 – This is my sister. [ single near] 2 – That door is big. [single not near] 3 – She wants these pens. [ plural near ] 4 – I like those flowers. [ plural not near ]
