Positive:

Example:

NEGATIVE:
There + is + not + a/an + SCN+ comp.

6. Using Some and any We use "some" in positive sentences. Example:
1 – I have some friends in London.
2 – There are some pens in my bag.
We use "any" in negative sentences or questions.
Examples:
1 – He doesn't have any friends in Jeddah.
2 – there aren’t any cups.
3 - Do you have any cheese?
4 – Are there any books?

7. Demonstratives ( This – That – These – Those )
Demonstratives are words that show which person or thing is being referred to in the sentence:-
Examples:-
1 – This is my sister. [ single near]
2 – That door is big. [single not near]
3 – She wants these pens. [ plural near ]
4 – I like those flowers. [ plural not near ]

8. This refers to singular nouns that are near to the speaker.
That refers to singular nouns that are far from the speaker.
These refers to plural nouns that are near to the speaker.
Those refers to plural nouns that are far from the speaker.
