These verbs do not show action. Instead, they show a state of being.

7. HINTS FOR FINDING VERBS:
Word that end in “-ing” or “-ed” are usually verbs
If you add “-ing” or “-ed” to the end of a word and IT MAKES SENSE, it’s probably a verb
Words that end in “-ly” are usually NOT verbs
