2. The cause of Leukemia is unknown but some risk factors are:
A type of Cancer that starts from the bone marrow. Which causes white blood cells to be produced abnormally, that interferes with fighting infections.

You were exposed to large amounts of Radiation.
Have down-syndrome or other genetic problems
Smoke.

3. Treatment Chemotherapy – Fight cancers with drugs.
Induction – Kills Leukemia cells to reduce symptoms and help the cells get better.
Consolidation – kills any left over leukemia cells that don’t show up on tests. If theses cells stay there, then it can start to re-grow and replace cells. Causing Leukemia to come back.
Maintenance – to prevent any remaining cells from growing.
