Respond to Emergency Must be trained in Standard First Aid Determine if Evacuation is needed Ensure that everyone leaves building Head count at meeting area

Emergency Control Plan Evacuation Procedure
Responsibilities Employees Supervisors ERT Employees – turn off equipment, if possible Supervisors – check areas, ensure that all machines are turned off Supervisor or Senior Operator will do a head count ERT ensures that everyone evacuates building, delegates person to inform other residents in ajoining building ERT member and / or Production Supervisor and / or Site Manager will liaise with Emergency officals

Exits Where are they? Do not re-enter the building until authorized by Emergency Response Authorities

What do you do? Determine if fire can be put out Attempt to put out fire One common question: How big of a fire can I put out? Answer: Don’t try to put out a fire that is bigger than a garbage pail.

Detectable: rotten egg smell, sewer gas Burning smells: resin, welding

Contact ERT member ERT member will use gas detector to determine if there is a hazardous condition If hazardous condition exists, the facility will be evacuated -911, report the nature of the emergency to them

What would you do? Do not touch person Disconnect source of electricity Call 911 Check breathing / pulse (ABCs) Attempt to wake person up

Emergency Control Plan Power Failure
What would you do? Emergency Lighting Turn off machine at main power panel, if possible Leave building through nearest exit Meet at evacuation area Do not enter until power is restored Emergency lighting should come on and will be on for approximately 20 mins

What would you do? Inform First Aid trained employee (1 / shift) Access injury Apply first aid Contact your Supervisor Accessing injury: If injury is serious enough call 911
