How do we calculate the average time?
Add up all 5 times and divide by 5 If you are using a phone calculator then make sure to hit = before dividing by 5 Check your work. Make sure your number makes sense. It should be BETWEEN the highest and lowest times

Graph: Title __________________________________________ Label each axis. The Y axis is distance (in feet) and the X axis is average time (in seconds). Plot the point for each runner and then draw in the line from the origin (time 0, distance 0). Use a different color of pencil for each runner and label each line with the runner’s name and speed.

What is the equation for speed?
Speed = distance / time

On a distance vs time graph, a curved line means that the object is NOT moving at a constant speed (which means that it is accelerating).
