Dates to know
* Thanks for continuing to do a GREAT job with Reading homework each night! Some groups will begin Reading Journal Homework practice this week to go along with their reading books.
* Please remember to send a note with your child for any missed days. Also, don’t forget to send a snack for your child to have each day!
* All field trip money is due today (10/2)! We have to pay Marbles at least 2 weeks in advance!

Our Learning Focus
Theme: Fall
Math: We are wrapping up our unit on addition & subtraction and beginning our Geometry unit.
Phonics: We will continue to tap, read, and spell short vowel words & we’ll introduce digraphs
(ch, sh, th, wh, ck)
Reading Focus: Describe characters, setting, and major events using key details
Writing Focus: Writing narratives that recounts 2 or more sequenced events and includes details, temporal words, and provides a sense of closure
