Fig 1 (A) Oozing from the sutured site was detected. (B) Microporous polysaccharide hemosphere (MPH) powder was sprinkled over the anastomosis site. (C) Small patches of oxidized regenerated cellulose sheet (Nu-Knit) were placed over the MPH powder. Gauze sponges were packed over the Nu-Knit and gently compressed for 3 minutes. (D) Gauze sponges were removed, and pieces of Nu-Knit were left in situ, as is performed for local gauze sponge packing for a while. No additional hemostasis was required.
