2. Overview
A UI initiative to increase participation in Workforce Center activities and services
Decrease # of weeks on UI
Military Wage Claim (UCX) – recently separated veterans
Voluntary
Estimate: About 3,000 veterans statewide

3. Process
UI sends UCX claimants a flyer
Replace weekly job contacts with WFC activities and services – one for one
Voluntary participation enroll at UI website
UI applicant registration program “UX” in region “OT”
Follow up with instructions to go to local WFC

4. At the WFC UCX claimants registered in local WFC
Workforce Center Representative (WFR)
Reviews registration for skills, objectives etc. IA and triage; assigns # of job contacts
WFC orientation; activities and services that can replace job contacts PGL WP
If meets SBE criteria and warrants Intensive Services refers to DVOP
DVOP puts veteran into TCM and provides services PGL V (VET )

5. UI Monitors, sends personalized emails Tracks participants
Work search strategies, useful WFC activities
Job Fairs & Hiring events
“Nudges” – encourages WFC voluntary participation
Tracks participants
# of WFC activities, services
Services provided
Stops UI benefits
Reports wages
Compiles & Analyzes for future expansion
