Cells were incubated for 2 h at 4°C (upper panel) or 37°C (lower panel) in medium containing 5 μg [125I]LDL/ml, 10 μg LPL/ml and different concentrations of heparin (filled bars) or RG (hatched bars). Binding and uptake of LDL was determined at the end of the incubation as described in Section 2. The inset shows binding of LDL at 37°C as measured as heparin-releasable radioactivity.
