1 MEET THE TEACHER Miss Mowat P4M

2 Welcome to Primary 4M Miss Mowat

3 Our vision here at Insch:

4 Class Charter P4M As a class we designed a class charter in line with the children’s rights (Rights Respecting School) These would be the expectations of the teacher in order to support behaviour management.

5 Behaviour Management Strategies:
Dojo points: good behaviour, being focused, taking responsibilities, being fair, working well with others etc. In line with our: Vision, Values and Aims

6

7 Accountability = putting things right
Consequences: In Insch School we try as best as we can to go with natural consequences as it is important that children recognise that they have done something inappropriate or that what happened wasn’t acceptable. E.g. apologising verbally, writing a note, missing out on playing the game etc Children can also have ‘time out’ of Golden Time which means they should reflect on their behaviour or whatever happened that meant that they lost time. We use a restorative approach with the children asking them what they were thinking when behaving inappropriately and what they could do the next time to make things better. Accountability = putting things right

This has been discussed with the children prior to their learning and then reflected on after the lesson to see if this learning took place. We regularly reflect on the work we have done and write reflective comments.
