2 Current situation The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport established a records and analytical information system for higher education in the Republic of Slovenia (eVŠ) at the end of As a central source of data on student status, the eVŠ also helps to verify students’ eligibility for public subsidies and different forms of financial aid instruments The Higher Education Enrolment Procedure in Slovenia is centralized via online eVŠ web portal since Candidates who wish to enroll, have to fill in the enrolment application online via eVŠ web portal, which is obligatory for all undergraduate and postgraduate study programs at public and private HEIs. Selection procedures are done by the HEIs. For undergraduate study programmes selection is done centraly by (4) central application offices. The ministry is the manager of the IT system and coordinates the activities.

6 Supporting internationalization of Slovene HE
A form “Application for recognition for access to education“ for recognition of foreign education was integrated into the online enrolment application to HE with the aim to simplify enrolment procedures for foreign candidates First for academic yaer 2016/17 Before: A separate written form for the recognition of foreign education was used. Candidates had to send the same document to different addresses or organizational unites of the same HEIs. The deadlines for submitting each form were not always synchronized. When candidates submitted an application for recognition of foreign education, but later did not apply for an enrolment, HEIs had to carry out the whole recognition procedure.

7 Legally established enrolment framework
All HEIs have to announce calls for enrolment by 30 March. Period for publishing calls for enrolment was unified for all HEIs (Higher Education Act). First for academic year 2017/18. Before the date was set only for public HEIs, and it was 30 March for undergraduate studies and 1 June for postgraduate studies. The deadline also applies to the accreditation of study programmes and their changes if they wish to be included in the call for enrolment. The enrolment must be completed by 30 September.
