Imagine you are in charge of defending the island against the rise in sea level, design your own form of defense against the rising sea levels.
Produce an annotated sketch of your idea to explain how you will defend against sea
level rise.
Write an evaluation which includes:
An introduction – what is the issue?
Explain the advantages and disadvantages of 2 examples already
being used in the Maldives (e.g. sea wall and raised Island)
Explain which idea is the best/your view and then introduce
your own design.
SUCCESS CRITERIA
EE – balanced answer, detailed explanations support by examples and a detailed conclusion.
ME – balanced answer, beginning to explain using ‘because’ and beginning to use examples. Brief conclusion.
WTE – unbalanced answer, brief explanations with little support from examples. No conclusion.
