In groups look at the job ads you have been given. What are the differences between the graduate and non- graduate level jobs? What skills will graduates need in order to apply for graduate-level positions? Write answers on white board / paper provided.

Activity: Enhancing skills Choose 1 (or more) and discuss in groups.
Is it desirable to have a separate skills course, or to integrate skills development into other activities in the programme, or a combination ? How can skills such as writing, problem-solving and innovation be developed through subject-related activities or courses? What role does the Passport play in encouraging a reflective approach? How can we help students articulate the skills they have acquired?
