3. LINEAR MOTION Motion in only one direction is called linear motion .
e.g.
motion of bullock cart

4. 1)LINEAR MOTION
Uniform Linear Motin Non Uniform Linear Motion e.g. soldiers marching in e.g. girl on slide come down with parade. great speed.

5. 2) Oscillatory Motion
A back & forth repetitive motion is called oscillatory motion. e.g. 1)motion of swing 2) movement of birds wings

6. 3) Periodic motion
When a moving object passes through a certain point at regular intervals of time , its motion is called periodic motion . e.g. 1)motion of hands of clock 2)motion of the earth around the sun

7. 4) Random Motion
Motion whose direction changes continuously is called random motion . e.g.1)A butterfly flits from 2)motion of football players flower to flower

8. 5) Circular Motion
Motion along a circumference of circle is called circular motion. e.g. 1)merry go round 2) motion of electric fan

9. Speed
The speed of an object is the distance it travels in a unit of time .
Speed = distance travelled
time taken to travel the distance
