Enhances student access to Pierce College Fosters student success Core services: assessment, orientation, follow-up and counseling.

Increased Support Services Student Engagement New Student Programs Counseling- SEP, continuing student support Student Engagement- mentoring, student involvement, New Student program- GO Days, FYE, summer bridge (Shared responsibility between instruction and student services, based on “evidenced-based” practices of what works): PD and English courses

Population: New and returning students Online orientation New Student groups Orientation at the high schools GO Days (1) Academic expectations and progress and probation standards pursuant to section 55031; (2) Maintaining registration priority pursuant to section 58108; (3) Prerequisite or co-requisite challenge process pursuant to section 55003; (4) Maintaining Board of Governors Fee Waiver eligibility pursuant to section 58621 (5) Description of available programs, support services, financial aid assistance, and campus facilities, and how they can be accessed; (6) Academic calendar and important timelines. (7) Registration and college fees. (8) Available education planning services

Follow Up Population: All students (especially At-risk students)
Probation Counseling Peer Advising/Mentor program Career exploration for Undecided students Re-Orientation Workshop for probation students Early Alert The target student audience for follow-up services in accordance with title 5, section include those students that are on probation, students entering the basic skills course sequences for Math and/or English, as well as those students that have not identified an educational goal or course of study.
