1 Be justified by faith? Faith is completed by deed?

2 Romans 3:10 “There is no one righteous, not even one.”

3 Sin is a cosmic power. Everything is corrupted by Sin. Sin = Human’s disobedience, and it requires death Jesus’ death = Payment for penalty of Sin Accept this payment through faith but not works of the Law

4 This good news reveals God’s justification.
Romans 1: 17 “For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’” God defeated SIN but he did not defeat SIN by law.

6 Be justified by LIVING faith
Romans 3:20-28 James 2:17-20

7 Romans 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.
James 2:24 You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.

8 Law – to be aware of sin Romans 3:20 “Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.” Romans 7:7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law.

9 Law – to be aware of sin

10 Righteousness from God
Romans 3:21-24 “But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

11 Righteousness from God
Faith in Jesus Righteousness God Law Galatians 3:11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith.“ Through the faith in Jesus Christ, all of us could be justified.

12 Faith in Jesus Christ saves us
Romans V3:25-26 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

13 Faith in Jesus Christ saves us
God presented him as a sacrifice. Jesus devoted his blood and life for our sins. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.

14 Faith in Jesus Christ saves us
God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement. Romans 8:3 “For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man,” John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

15 Faith in Jesus Christ saves us
The sin : be destroyed be pardoned We : be saved be justified God presented him as a sacrifice. Jesus devoted his blood and life for our sins. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement.

16 Faith in Jesus Christ saves us

17 Faith is supposed to be alive
We could be justified through the faith in Jesus Christ, and the faith is supposed to be alive. James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:20 You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? James 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

18 Faith is supposed to be alive
Living faith in Jesus Christ: --be accompanied by actions --work together with our suitable deeds Our repentance should be shown in our deeds.

19 Faith is supposed to be alive

20 We could be justified by the faith in Jesus Christ.
The blood of Jesus has cleaned our sins and redeemed us. The faith in Jesus Christ is supposed to be alive. Completed by deeds, the living faith in Jesus Christ can redeem us from sin. We should produce faithful fruits that contain love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness.

21 Do I have the faith in Jesus Christ?
--“NO” --Do I feel so tired to fight with my sin or myself? Do I need a powerful helper to save me from the pain? --“YES” --Is that faith alive? Whether my actions complete my faith, or not? Did I truly be justified by my faith in Jesus Christ?
