5 key drivers: The economic system – in particular bad job growth Lack of progressive public spending on social protection Regressive tax systems Discrimination An imbalance in power (e.g. in the labour market, in government decision-making) Inequality feeds on itself

What can the Post-2015 framework do?
Measure inequalities Pursue growth that is inclusive and sustainable, and that provides opportunities for all Have ‘getting to zero’ goals Mainstream equality across goals and targets Need to have measures to reduce between-group and overall income and wealth inequalities
