The mission of the FSC is to provide one location that effectively combines civil, criminal, health and social services for victims of family violence Expenditures Family Safety Center of Memphis and Shelby County, Inc. City of Memphis Contract #33458 Operational and Essential Services Financial Report July 1, 2016 – December 31, 2016 Project Description: To provide coordinated services to victims of domestic violence from one location to help victims break the cycle of violence and enhance community safety.

Accomplishments Ability to serve all DV clients in imminent danger seeking emergency housing including serving men 91% of Ex-Parte Orders of Protection prepared are granted Had over 60 churches to participate in Speak Out Sunday Successful planning for Camp Hope which will be from July 2-July 7 Served 941 clients Demographics Served 941 clients from July to December Made 958 referrals for services 89% of clients were women 65% of clients were single 28% have a high school diploma/GED; 31% have some college 68% of our clients make less than $20,000 a year Top zip codes for service: 38128, 38134, 38127, 38119, , 38115, 38111, 38109, 38016

Client Outcomes 95% of FSC clients completing exit survey felt FSC helped them to learn how to access services and community resources 98% feel they have a better understanding of the cycle of violence Because of the FSC , 97% of clients know more ways to plan for their safety Because of FSC, 97% of clients have a better understanding of options to address the abuse in their lives “I feel very hopeful about my future and my children's future since coming to the center. I am very grateful for the kindness and help that everyone showed to me.“ FSC Client

Challenges Expand partnerships to increase availability of services including job readiness and job training Demand for civil legal services and utility assistance outpaces available services at this time Increasing visibility of FSC to serve more victims Increase severity of cases
