We will be wrapping up our first chapter in math where the students have been expressing numbers in different forms. Please keep working on The Act of Contrition with your child. This Tuesday the kids may wear a hat to school if they bring in a money donation for Texas Archdiocesan schools who were affected by Tropical Storm Harvey. This is a great opportunity to have our students practice the virtues of charity, humility, and kindness! Believe it or not, but midquarter is THIS Friday! The students are finally getting settled into second grade, and I am so very proud of them! We are working a lot on place value and numbers that range from 0 – 1,000 in math. Many students are reaching those AR goals and I am so excited for them! We have been talking about how we should only take AR tests when we think we are ready, or else we will do poorly on the test and not earn any points. Other than that, we have been doing some awesome work! I am very proud of them when we are in the hallway – they are always getting compliments from other classes!
