What is a recipe? It’s a set of instructions for preparing a certain food: dish or drink. The purpose of a recipe is to have a precise record of the ingredients used, the amounts needed and the way they are combined.

The recipe name tells you what you’ll be making.
Some recipes include a picture or drawing to show what the food or drink will look like when it’s done.

There are three components to a recipe
