6 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To Graduate Students Need: • eighty credits in Grade (equivalent to 20 four credit courses). This includes Required Courses, Graduation Transition Plan, and Elective Courses. • five Graduation Program Exams English 10, Math 10, Science 10 Social Studies 11 English 12 or Communications 12 • a minimum of 4 courses (16 credits) at the Grade 12 level including English 12 or Communications 12

9 SECOND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
A second language is NOT required for graduation A second language is required for university entrance

10 Four ways to get a second language:
UBC requires a Language 11 UBC Arts recommends a Language 12 SFU requires a Beginners Language 11 Beginners Language 11 (Gr. 9 and 10) plus Language 11 Language Challenge Exam ( UBC will not use this exam in their admission averages for approved grade 12 courses) Community College (University Transfer) may have to complete a second language at college depending on your future course of studies

Students will take a 2 credit Planning 10 combined with an elective course in grade 10 The remaining 2 credits will be completed through Conference days in grade 10, 11 and 12. Requirements of the course will include: Graduation Program Education and Careers Health Finances

19 Grade 12 BC Achievement Scholarships
A student will receive $1250 if he or she: Achieves at least a “B” final mark (exam and school mark) in English 12, Communications 12 or English 12 First Peoples and ranks among the top 3000 grade 12 students in BC (based on their average of grade 10, 11, and 12 courses)

45 FAILS (0 to 39%) All compulsory courses must be repeated if failed
