Proposed – 2 phases, but 1+ proposal Phase I (same maximum of $1,000 per branch) Phase II (now $5,000 total) Proposal due – written, August 15; oral, about August 30 Decision by September 30 Single award or two phased awards Proposal content unchanged (but a single proposal) Advantages Consolidated annual planning by branch Reduces effort by students and proposal reviewers Fewer deadlines Earlier total award Fewer checks to write (if a single award is made)
