What is meant by ‘Windrush Era’, including the contribution that troops from countries other than Britain made to Britain’s effort during WW2

Heart of Darkness – Joseph Conrad
On the course, you will study Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. To help you understand the context of the novel, please make notes on imperialism in the Congo in the 19th century. In your research, you should explore:
Why European countries such as Belgium went to Africa and colonised countries there
Who was King Leopold and what did he do
What was the Belgian Free State and how did it operate
