Introduction Hi, my name is Kayla. We read the book “How My Family Lives in America”. This story was about three children who moved from different countries to America and how they brought their family traditions and culture to their new communities. I moved to Okinawa in 2009 because my dad got orders to work for the Marines in Okinawa. I am going to tell you about some of my family’s traditions and some of the traditions from Okinawa that are now part of my family.

My Family I have 4 members in my family. Their names are Christian my brother, Justin my dad, Susan my mom, and Kayla me.! My dad is a pilot for the Marines. This picture also includes my mom’s cousin and her family.
