You will meet amazing people in Key Club, and make new friends.
You can meet a lot of people just like you; people who genuinely like service and making a difference
Being an active member allows you to make the most of your Key Club experience. Going out to the service projects is far more fun and rewarding

5. Why Should I Attend Club Meetings?
Get information about upcoming events and projects
Socialize with other Key Clubbers
Get to know your officers and leaders
Be sure to take note of dates and times of upcoming events.
Meetings are where important information is announced and upcoming events are announced
You can socialize with other Key Clubbers and make new friends

6. Service Projects One of the main goals of Key Club is to do service
Give back to the community
Awesome bonding experience with other Key Clubbers
Suggest your own service projects to officers if you have something in mind
Key Club is all about giving back.
Doing service projects with other people can create bonds that last for a long time
If you don’t like the type of service projects your school is doing, suggest some to the officers. Don’t just suggest it though, give them details and really make them want to do it. Reach out to your sponsoring Kiwanis or Faculty Advisor is you need help.

Spring Zone Rallies
Get to meet Key Clubbers from different schools
Meet your Lt. Governor
DCMs, or Division Council Meetings, are division-wide meetings.
Division-wide service projects are service projects that all clubs in your division participate in.
The KCKC, or Key Club Kickoff Conference, is a zone-wide meeting in which officers are trained and members are educated about Key Club.
The Spring Zone Rally is similar to the KCKC, and it is where District Officers campaign, and Lt. Governors are elected.

8. Become a Committee Chair

Every Key Club should have committees set up by the V.P.
Ask to be a Committee Chair!
Examples:
DCON
Eliminate
Service
Fundraising
Gives an opportunity to understand how the club is run
Gives valuable leadership experience
Gives members a chance to be more involved in the club
In the Club Bylaws, there are more committees shown there that can be used in clubs.

9. Become a Club Officer Don’t be afraid, you win no matter what!
If you win the election, you will gain leadership experience by serving in your position
Even if you lose the election, you will have gained valuable campaigning experience
Gain leadership experience
Learn how to work with a group of officers
Learn how to make a club successful
Make lasting friendships with fellow officers.

10. Editor Makes all of the club publications Takes pictures at events
Manages Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts
Helps club plan to apply for awards
If you are someone who enjoys taking pictures, is media savvy, or is artistic/creative, this is the office for you.

11. Treasurer Prepares a budget at the start of each year
Manages the clubs finances
Fills out all deposit forms and purchase orders
Oversees the collection of club dues

12. Secretary Manages the club records Takes minutes at club meetings
Takes notes at all officers meeting about what needs to be discussed at the next club meeting
Fills out pride reports
The secretary is the unsung hero of the Key Club!
In a way, they have the hardest job and the most responsibilities.

13. VP/ President Vice President Not necessarily the easy job
Oversees committee system
Works with the President on all issues
Fills in when the President is absent
President
Oversees all of the club’s operations
Works with the officers
Leads service projects and events
Represents the club
The vice president has all of the same responsibilities as the president.
It is important for the V.P. to be there to provide support the president.
