What is an AG ? ASSISTANT GOVERNOR IS LIKE A BRIDGE WHICH IS STRONG , DURABLE , RELIABLE AND CARRIES ON IT’s SHOULDER “ TWO WAY TRAFFIC ,THROUGH OUT THE YEAR ” “ THE MOST KEY PERSON TO THE GOVERNOR”

District Responsibilities
Assist in developing district goals. Advise DGE on district committee selections. Schedule and plan for the OCV Communicate strengths and weaknesses of clubs. Update the governor on club progress & suggest ways to enhance Rotary development Attend & promote district meetings-DISCON, DA, PETS,DTTS, ICF’s , TRF seminars etc

CLUB RESPONSIBILITIES
BEFORE RY – help clubs get ready by offering ideas and guidance-review CLP, discuss Club goals & review planning guide for effective Rotary Clubs DURING RY – advisor to clubs to help them attain their GOALS

Club Responsibilities
Help PE’s formulate effective goals. Visit your clubs regularly. Monitor performance of service projects. Develop club leaders for service at district Encourage clubs to follow through on DG’s requests and recommendations. Assist clubs in planning and scheduling governor’s OCV

Club Visit Conducted by the assistant governor
Occurs at least four times a year Focuses on the following: Assessing a club’s progress toward its goals Evaluating the effectiveness of a club’s various strategies Suggesting practical solutions to problems challenging the club Collect information about-TRF, Service Projects, Attendance, Membership, Important Projects

MEMO of CLUB VISITS Helps District Leaders assess a club’s effectiveness Provides an annual record of club’s progress Fill this during each club visit FINAL version to be submitted to DG by 15th May

Official Visit ( OCV ) Conducted by the district governor
Occurs once a year Focuses on the following: Motivating club members to participate in service projects Focusing attention on important Rotary issues Paying special attention to weak and struggling clubs Personally recognizing outstanding club projects and the contributions of individual Rotarians

CONCLUDING THE YEAR Acknowledge and celebrate the work clubs have accomplished during the year Ensure the clubs recognise their strengths and continue to use them Suggest areas that need improvement in coming year Review a copy of their planning guide so that the clubs can see their progress towards goals

No one is going to give you marks AGs come and go every year but this role is once in a lifetime What is permanent is the bond you have with the club as a result of your vantage position and how much you have a place in their hearts Did it make a difference to you?

Rate Clubs Rate Clubs is a feature in Rotary Club Central that replaces the Memo of Club Visit. It is used to report the club’s practices, accomplishments, weaknesses, and challenges. It is also a tool for you to keep track of the clubs the DG’s visits

What is this Rotary Club Central
It is a new online site that can be accessed by any Rotarian but the AG can edit or give comments on his club The DG has power of editing all clubs PE,Ps,SE,Secs,Treasurer,TRF chair, Membership chair can use at club level
