2. Goals
To give students the academic and social skills they need to progress to the next grade level.
To provide a supportive, engaging, and fun classroom environment.
To help students discover new interests.

3. Classroom Management Plan
Our classroom is a community. In our community, we have rules to help us get along with each other.
Our class rules are:
Be respectful and responsible.
Be organized and follow directions.
Be on time.
Be prepared.

4. Grading Scale 90-100 = A 80-89 = B 70-79 = C 60-69 = D 59 or lower = F
Tests/Quizzes 50%
Classwork 30%
Projects 10%
Home Learning 10%

5. Homework Procedures Homework will be assigned every night.
Homework is due on a daily basis, if a student misses more than 3 homework assignments they are given a detention.
Parents, please check agendas for any comments.

6. I-Ready
Will be given as participation grade. When teacher deem necessary.
One hour is required for Math and another hour for Reading.
Students that do not do their weekly goal will be pulled from PE to finish the required time.
Every Wednesday and Friday students will be given the amount of time they have worked on their I-Ready.

7. Attendance Policy School starts at 8:00 A.M.
If your child is not in the classroom by the time the bell rings, please have him/her check in at the school office before coming to class.
A maximum of 10 handwritten notes will be allowed.
If a student is absent 3 times without an excused note, they will receive a referral note.
After 10 tardies, a student will receive a referral.
For every 10 early dismissals, a student will receive a referral.
If student is picked up before 10:00 A.M., he/she will be marked absent.
No early dismissals 30 minutes prior to dismissal.

8. Dismissal All students will be dismissed at 3:00 pm
Walkers will need to complete a permission to walk home form

9. Volunteer Hours
It is mandatory that parents complete 30 hours per student and 15 hours for each sibling, as per parent contract. Half of the hours must be completed by mid school year as per administration. Each hour is equivalent to $5
Many events are coming up in order to complete some hours.

11. Uniform Policy
Students are required to wear the proper uniform unless it is a dress down day.
Students that do not follow policy will not be able to return to class unless the proper uniform is in place.
If a student does not follow the guidelines 3 or more times, they will receive a referral
Fridays are jeans day for $1.00

12. Parent Portal Please check routinely for grades in the parent portal
Parent pin numbers will be sent home on the first week of school
