Love is God’s essence, His intrinsic nature
Love is not just a characteristic of God, it’s who He is
He IS love! He has always been love and will always be love!

God has shown His love for us in many ways!

Jesus is the ultimate proof of God’s love for us
God sent His one and only Son into the world – John 4:9; John 3:16; Philippians 2:5-8
God demonstrated His own love for us in this – Romans 5:6-8; Ephesians 2:4-5

Whoever lives in love . . .
God perfects love in us when we live in love! – John 4:11-12,
The more we live in love the more we live in God, and God in us! – 1 John 4:16

Perfect love drives out fear
We fear Judgment because we know that we don’t measure up! – 1 John 4:17-18
The more we understand and embrace God’s Love, the less we fear! – 1 John 3:18-20; 4:17-18
