What is Walk with Compassion?
Notes: Walk with Compassion is Compassion International’s new fundraising walk series designed to address the challenges of vulnerable children that go beyond what monthly sponsorship covers. The money we raise together helps to fund important projects like clean water, mosquito nets, disaster relief, and so much more. On the day of the event, we will come together to celebrate the difference we have made, and to learn more about how the dollars we have raised are helping us reach our goal of ending child poverty. An interactive set of stations guided by an online video experience will add to the feeling of accomplishment fundraisers will feel on the day of the walk.

Peer to Peer Fundraising Examples
Notes: These are all examples of peer to peer fundraising walks that take place all over the nation with proven success. Walk with Compassion has been designed with a similar fundraising approach, with the walk being the culmination and celebration of the funds raised. How many people in this group have participated in a fundraising walk or similar event before? Can they share their fundraising experiences?

How are these walks planned?
Notes: Each walk is sponsored and organized at the local level. The success of each local walk depends on local committee volunteers like us to plan, sponsor, organize, and promote the community-wide event. Here is a breakdown of the structure of the committee. Now let’s talk more about what these roles are.

Depending on the size of the event, the Walk Chair and Subcommittee Chairs may comprise the entire Walk Committee.
