6. Cancer
Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and underwent a whipple procedure on 9/19/2006
August 2007 to expect a remaining 3-6 months of good health
May 2, PET scan showed metastasis in his lungs and some lymph nodes in his chest
June 26, 2008 indicated he was considering stopping further chemo due to side effects
July 24, cancer had progressed further
Died at family’s home in Chesapeake, Virginia on July 25, 2008
