What is matter? Nothing, what’s the matter with you? Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space (volume) So, what are mass and volume?

Mass Mass is the amount of matter (stuff) in an object
Mass can be measured using a triple-beam balance The units that we use to measure mass are the gram (g), and kilogram (kg)

Volume Volume refers to how much space an object takes up
Volume can be measured several ways, depending on what you are measuring When measuring volume, we use units like liter (L), milliliter (mL), or gram per cubic centimeter (g/cm3)
