in the Southern Appalachian Mountains October 22 and 23, 2011 Highlands, North Carolina During this weekend retreat 22 North Carolina high school science teachers: interacted with scientists and National Park Rangers to learn about climate change impacts in the Southern Appalachian Mountains; experienced first-hand how to integrate outdoor learning experiences into climate change instruction; discussed how to enhance outdoor learning with NASA resources.
